Careers in Nursing Committee records, 1928-1958.

Records of the committee consist of correspondence, minutes of meetings, and printed materials related to careers and recruitment of nurses. Items related to World War II include a letter file book of the Louisiana Committee on Recruitment of Student Nurses and reflect the committee's work in the defense program (1942-1945). Three letter books contain correspondence of the Careers in Nursing Committee (1951-1952), and one letter book holds records of the Future Nurses' Club (1954). Papers of the War Manpower Commission pertain to the procurement and assignment of nurses; other papers relate to the United States Cadet Nurse Corps.
